Your files stay on your device

PDF Bench processes PDF, Word and image files entirely inside your web browser. Your files are never uploaded to our server or to anyone else. When you close the tab, the files and any results are gone.

What we store in your browser

We use your browser's local storage to remember your language choice, how many free edits you have used in the last hour, and your Pro key if you have one. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense to keep the site free. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the EU, EEA and UK are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

Third-party services

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and code libraries from cdnjs and jsDelivr. These services receive your IP address when your browser downloads the files, as with any website. Our hosting provider (Namecheap) keeps standard server logs such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, for security and to keep the site running.

Payments

If you buy PDF Bench Pro, payment is handled by our payment provider. We receive your email address and payment status, but never your card details.

Contact form

If you write to us, we receive your name, email address and message, and use them only to reply to you.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to how it is used. Email info@pdfbench.org and we will reply within 30 days.

Children

PDF Bench is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
